Welcome to My New Blog September 28, 2010

Hi everyone!! This is my new blog. Thank goodness I saved my old blog and imported it here. Blogger was not letting people commet on my posts so I made this new wordpress one. I hope everyone subscribes to this blog. I am going to be keeping my blogs up to date on things I do on youtube, my things I make, sharing items on craft how to, and random things about my life. Sorry I have been slow about my blog lately. My mother had a breast cancer scare and now she may have found another lump we are not sure at this time. Also I have been busying on youtube and working on getting my etsy store up and running. I now have 7 items posted on my etsy store. I am currently working on changing my facebook page to a fan page. I see alot of business that have a fan facebook page. I will be uploading more pics to facebook as soon as I make that fan page. I will also share that link with you all. Oh My Goodness!!! September 21, 2010

Wow its been almost a month since I have really posted a blog. I got back into my youtube account and I started recording more. I am currently working on a mini mini scrapbooking album. I am also hoping to open my etsy store this week or the begining of next week. I will only be posting 5 or 6 items, but they will be great prices and great deals. As soon as I get more popular on etsy I will up the prices……so if you like super cheap check out my etsy when i post that its open =] Just to get some ideas of what might be posted there I made a lace and soda tab braclet that I can make more of…really cute…white lace with white and sliver tabs and a snap closure. 2 types of bows, some of the soda tab creations, and maybe some flexibe bangles I make…..not sure on the bangles yet. Everything on my facebook page is up for sale weather or not its listed in my etsy or not. I hope to start making flowers here soon. If enough people like my mini mini I might premake one to sell for a reasonable, but cheap price.

One side note on why I was missing in the blog world other than my youtube account…..(youtube user name perfectbeingme look me up.) My mother found a lump in her breast a couple of weeks ago and she thought it might of been breast cancer. She got tests done and they had no idea. They took tissue from the lump last week and told us today that it was not cancer, but it did grow since the last time they looked at it. They gave her the chioce to do more tests to see what it is, or jus cut it ou. I don’t know what she is going to do yet. I am still alittle nervous that they could do more tests and go wait it is breast cancer…..but it could be nothing but a lump…..i don’t know. well I just thought I would share that with you guys and tell you all that I have been busy crafting. if you want to see more of what i have been doing check out my facebook page and my youtube. YAY Me!!!! Thank You Johnnie! August 29, 2010

Hey Everyone this post is a bit thank you to Johnnie over at Saved by Love. I won a contest of hers and recieved a beautiful handcrafted clay pendent. She was so sweet to work with me and customize a piece just for me.  As soon as I opened the lovely envople you see above I was so happy. I love my pendent. Also because Johnnie is so sweet she agreed to do a trade with me and I got a second pendent that I just love. I love both of the beautiful pendents I recieved. Thank you so much Johnnie!! Saftey Pin Creations August 15, 2010

Hi everybody! Lately I have had an obbession with soda tabs and saftey pins. So everyone saw my soda tab obbession if you didn’t take a look at my last post. This time around safety pins and beads have been on my mind. I am all about a necklace that says a statement with out costing to much and dosen’t involve tons of beads everywhere. So I made:

when i get my etsy up and I can make almost and color. with the pearls I have black, pink, and white pearls. I have alot of colors like yellow, blue, pink, brown. I have wooden beads as well.

Soda Tab Creations August 11, 2010

Hi everybody and I just want to say wow its been 11 days since I posted a blog last. I have been working on getting more smaller crafts together and making more of them. I wanted to share with you some of the things I have been making lately. I am still here just busy with trying to get my store open. So please feel free to give me some feedback. I really need feedback just to know if what I am making is worth selling to the people….which are you guys, and lots of others too. So I have been playing around with soda tabs and This is what I have made so far:

School Supply Revamp July 31, 2010

Hi Everyone so I have been slow on my crafts. They are still stored up and I am cleaning my room. I had the urge to clean out my clothes while I was cleaning…so thats taking a while…lol. Anyway I bought some things for school……like folders, pens, pencils, a clipboard, and a binder. okay so I had the binder and folders already and I just updated them. So Here is a couple pictures of what I did to them….well this is the final product:

On the Left is a pink 3 ring binder I had and I just added pockets to it by glueing on scrapbook paper. I glued the sides and bottom, but not the top and tada a pocket for handouts and extra paper. The photo on the right are 2 sprial notebooks. they are just your 1 subject notebook. I got mine from walmart for 15cents each so 30cents for 2 notebooks. I added scrapbook paper and stickers to them. One of the has my intals on the left bottom corner. (remember I said neccie was a nickname in my last post well if you read it you know my middle name.) Next are a few more pictures of some more school suplies I added tada to:

The photo on the left is a clipboard that I paid 2 bucks for…..yep a plain brown clipboard for 2bucks…..yea that was alittle much, but I couldn’t find another one any where. I found this one at Family Dollar. I added scrapbook paper, stickers, and a piece of ribbon is added near the bottom. (click the picture to see it larger.) I also added my intals to the left bottom corner of my clipboard. On top of the Clipboard is a Pen that I added TADA to. its a simple black push pen that I snaped off the clip and hotglued turkey feathers that I had and wrapped it in brown ribbon all the way to the bottom. Then I added a pink ribbon bow to tie the pen in with my pink binder, notebooks, and clipboard. Are you seeing I like pink alot now??!! The next picture is the two folders I am putting in the pink binder. They both have my intals on them and decorated with scrapbook paper and stickers. I hope you enjoyed the pink fest and liked my back to school ideas.

Hoo Are You?? and Tip Tuesday!!! July 27, 2010

Hey everyone sorry I was missing for a bit and that I haven’t posted up any new crafts. I am in the process of moving a new desk into my room, cleaning my extra living room, and organizing my crafts better. So almost all my crafts are put up right now. I did pull out a few things and I will share what I made soon. For now I am going to post Hoo are You? and Tip Tuesday. So lets get started:

1. Do you sing in the shower or car when no one else is listening?
I sing all the time everywhere even walking down the hallways at college. Most of the time my friends join in and sing with me, but I have got the odd glance from people who think I am talking to myself, but singing cheers me up.
2. Do you have a nickname you go by now or growing up?
Funny think is Neccie is my nickname!! I have had the nickname Neccie sine I was 2 days old. My mother and Aunt thought my first name and middle name where to formal to call a little girl. I am not telling you my frist name because I still hate it, but my middle name is Denise. Well my Aunt started calling me her little Neccie and the name stuck with me.
3. Do you speak another language?
I speak alittle Spanish and I can carry a conversation out to a certain point. I know a tiny bit of french as well, but other than that I speak English.
4. Where is you favorite vacation spot?
I don’t vaction much really. Heck to tell the truth if I go to a city thats 2 hours away I call that a vaction. I have been to KY a few times and I have to say if I have the chance I would go there every year.
5. What do you cook the most for dinner?
Alot of the time is Chicken. I know alot of ways to cook chicken and I really like it. I cook mostly dark meat, but I will make chicken tendors out of breast from time to time. I love fried chicken, but I cook chicken stew, chicken perlow, backed chicken, grilled chicken, chicken and rice, and the list goes on and on.
 

Tip Tuesday!!

 
Well I don’t have many times this week because I was cleaning most of them time, but here are the tips I have: Add a small amount of water to your glue. I use tacky craft glue that comes in a brown bottle. You can buy it at any walmart for around 2 pr 3 dallors. I add a small amount of water to my glue to make it last longer. I just take a bowl, a paintbrush, and a small cup of water. I put a small amount of glue in the bowl, wet the paint brush and ring the water from the paintbrush in the bowl with the glue, then mix the water and glue together, and keep doing this till the glue is about half the thickness it started as. The glue will still be tacky and will spread a whole lot easier. You will save time and money. One more tip is on organizing your crafts. I have alot of small containers that I wanted to use up. So I placed things in my smaller containers and then placed the smaller containers in a larger one. That way they are all together, but still seperate. Try This Thursday: Personal Tin July 22, 2010

Hi everybody! I just finished making today’s try this. My hands still have bits of dried glue on them still. I used alot of glue…….Take a look at some of the things I used:

I got the idea from A Girl and A Glue Gun. Here is her take on some really cute decorated tins. I had to try this out. I used an old pop rocks tin, magizine pages, sissors, fabric, carboard, and glue. I didn’t use the yellow or black scrapbook paper that was in the picture. I have two pair of sissors because your not suppose to use your fabric sissors on paper. I always try not to use my red sissors for nothing but, yarn and fabric. Okay back to the tin. I cut up small squares and made a mosic title look on top, and added two other decorative pieces. for the back I just cut out some of the magizine I had in a soild color and glued it to the back. The only hard part in the whole thing was glueing tiny squares….lol. I took the cardboard and cut out a pattern for the inside of the lid and cut out a piece of fabric and glued that in the inside. I then cut out another piece using the cardboard. Next I folded a small piece on the cardboard over and glued that to the inside of the tin so I had a flap to hide the bottom. Don’t glue the cardboard to the bottom. I then glued a piece of fabric on the cardboard to make it more pretty. The outside and inside of the tin don’t match perfectly, but I like it. I am going to hide personal girl items under the flap. Here is what the tin looks like:
